Preheater Cyclone Modification and Main Components Low- pressure drop Reduction in pressure drop of the gas is partly achieved by large inlet area and outlet area for a given cyclone size and partly by providing more space for the gas flow in the top part of the cyclone. Due to this geometry the inner pipes can be shorter to decrease the resistance in the system and in the same time still the separation efficiency of the cyclone will achieve the needed rate.
